Aroma sensing technology has become increasingly important in the food and fragrance industries, providing a reliable method for detecting and analyzing aromas. With the ability to detect even trace amounts of specific compounds, aroma sensing technology can transform the way companies develop, manufacture, and evaluate their products. From product development to quality control, aroma sensing technology plays a vital role in ensuring the consistency and quality of aromas in the market.

Flavorings are very popular as they give some extra taste to foods and beverages like pastries, ice cream, sweets, coffee, or tea. In this example, the HaVoc sensory system was used to investigate different cherry flavors from different manufacturers.

The analysis of different cherry-type flavorings showed significantly different volatile fingerprints which easily allow to a differentiation. Additionally drawing on statistical means like principal component analysis (PCA), HaVoc allows for an easy and automated clustering of different flavorings.

In this application note, we will introduce the capabilities of our new sensor system (HaVoc) for real-time analysis of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). This system is based on mass spectrometry and delivers real-time results of laboratory-grade quality.

Looking for a Laboratory Solution?

The HaVoc Sensory System is designed to revolutionize industrial analyses. If you are rather looking for a laboratory solution than an industrial one, discover our lab applications based on the SICRIT® ionization technology!
